coat room

This is another entrance to the museums. Coats and large bags shed, the mysterious locker mechanism negotiated (put the coins into the lock inside the locker, then close it, then extract the key without unlocking the thing, or you'll need to start over with another fifty cents), and you are ready to head out to explore.
On school days the coat side is bursting with jackets and backpacks and lunches: each section labeled with the name of a school group. In summer, I imagine few coats are left here. Now, with the changing season, you can see an assortment of weights and types - from light raincoats to parkas. For all its ethnographic interest, though, I don't see coat watching catching on as a hobby. More interesting things are elsewhere in the museums.
