Architectural detail from one end of the Presepio. As I was drawing, mostly concentrating on textures and perspective and the feel of the whole section, I caught bits of passing conversations. I heard people wishing again that the scene was still in the Hall of Architecture, as they remembered it from years past. I think I also heard a docent say that the museum has fifteen angels in the collection, but only hangs six of them. Tried to imagine the effect of fifteen angels. Went back to work on the angle of a doorway. I see the wisdom of laying down some lines of pencil when beginning something like this, but I didn't. As with the angels, you'll just have to imagine the effect.
