And once again, an item in the museum is shown with the label, "provenience unknown." I wish at least I could see a sign explaining the rationale for the practice.



It's also a mystery why they say provenience instead of the more common provenance. And it's interesting that this item of mysterious provenience/provenance depicts an animal symbolic of mystery. I like the various views of it.
