This began as a blind contour drawing - moving the pen while looking at the object instead of the paper, letting my eye follow the edges as if touching them. While I was focused on that, I could hear people talking about the newly-renovated exhibit space. I added color, continuing to half-listen to the voices.
Elizabeth, I have been visiting your site daily since Christine Kane's June 2006 retreat. I especially love your fruits and flowers and the drawings of your child. I wish I could be there to meet you at the fountain. How brave and inspring to commit to having lunch with strangers.
Thanks for starting my mornings every day. I look forward to your next project....wonder what it will be.....
